Libbey's DuraTuff® thermal strengthening underpins the 651ml Tiara Hi Ball, boosting its resistance to mechanical impact and thermal shock well beyond regular glassware used in most kitchens. The octagonal panelled shape tapers to a heavy, solid base for stability, and a safer breakage pattern reduces the risk of sharp shards. Its faceted grip stays secure even under heavy condensation from ice cold drinks. At 651ml, it's suited to long drinks and cocktails at food and beer festivals or large events.

DuraTuff® Thermal Strengthening. A specialised heating and rapid cooling cycle treats the upper portion of this glass, creating maximum resistance to mechanical impacts and thermal shock.

Safer Breakage Pattern. A violent impact severe enough to drop or crack this glass causes it to fail in large, dull chunks due to thermal tension, rather than shattering into dangerous, microscopic shards.

Choosing a Decoration Method

This glassware can be decorated three ways, and the main difference between them is durability in the wash.

Pad printing is the standard method, with prices shown on this page. The logo is applied by pad print and cured in a low fire oven. Because the cure temperature is low, the print isn't dishwasher safe and the glasses should be hand washed.

Decal printing solves that. The decal is fired at high temperature in a kiln, fusing the artwork permanently into the glass surface. Decal printed glassware is guaranteed dishwasher safe, which makes it the right choice for pubs, clubs, and cafes where glasses go through commercial washers daily. Decals cost more than pad printing, so ask our sales team for pricing.

Laser etching, also priced on this page, engraves the logo directly into the glass for a frosted, single colour finish. Etching is permanent, dishwasher safe, and won't fade over time.
